Some of the events we host:
Dinners
AIChE holds dinners for members where corporate representatives come to present the objectives of their company and inform students of employment, internship, and co-op openings. This is a great opportunity for companies to connect with students and collect resumes/offer interview sign-ups. Students can also network with industry professionals and learn about the many career paths available to chemical engineers. Many students find these sessions informative and important in solidifying their choice to major in chemical engineering.
Conferences
Students have the opportunity to attend regional and national AIChE Conferences. Attendees connect with other chemical engineering students from across the country while attending professional development workshops, industry panels, and information sessions. Students also apply their knowledge by competing in the ChemE Car, Jeopardy, and Poster competitions.
Company Tours
AIChE schedules tours for students interested in a behind-the-scenes look at how companies operate. Past tours have included Raleigh Brewing Company, Trophy Brewing Co., Biogen, and Novo Nordisk.
Social and Outreach Events
Our chapter hosts several social events throughout the year intended to bring students together and facilitate connections. Events include welcome back bashes, field days, and much more!
The chapter also gives back through various outreach events such as offering tours, hosting information sessions, and volunteering in the community.
